Virginia MBB Basketball Starting 5, Top Players

Isaac McKneely transferred to Louisville, so the Cavaliers have lost their best player. Additionally, Elijah Saunders has moved to the University of Maryland. Andrew Rohde has also transferred to Wisconsin, while Dai Dai Ames has left for CAL. That means this starting lineup will be brand new in the 2025-2026 season. We have projected the possible starting lineup for next season.

Senior Dallin Hall will take over as the point guard, while Malik Thomas has also averaged many minutes in the backcourt. Thijs De Ridder is currently the leading scorer, while holding the mantle of the power forward position. Johann Grunloh arrives from Germany to serve as the big man in the middle. The other forward spot is interchangeable.

Virginia Cavaliers guard Isaac McKneely (11) reacts after making a three point field goal against the North Carolina State Wolfpack in the second half at Capital One Arena.
